We have come to the end of our second week of Relationship Builder month here at Crafty. We talked about fun and creative gifts and how to put together and awesome thank you note. But, we couldn't leave this week without answering the following question:
What is the easiest way to continue the conversation?
Connect on social media.
Look them up on LinkedIn and send them a request to connect and/or follow their company. Make sure to include a note with a reminder of where you met. Don't assume they will remember your name or everyone they talked to if you met them at a networking event. LinkedIn has quickly become the premier way to connect with and stay in touch with people on a professional level.
Follow them on Twitter. Chances are you will get a return follow.
Find their company page on Facebook and like it. Again, you will most likely get a return like. Stay away from requesting them to be friends with them on a personal page. Typically this is not considered proper etiquette as Facebook is more of a personal platform.
All are a great way to keep up with what they are doing, and an easy way to send them a quick note as well. They can also see what you are doing and posting; in hopes that they will see something that sparks them to do business with you. It is a very low impact way to stay in touch!
Cheers!
