KRISTEN BAXTER

I’m on an inevitable path – and loving every step.
Creative, crafty, and curious, I’ve always had an interest in and an affinity for journalism, public relations and marketing. A “beach girl” raised in Southern California, I began dabbling in journalism and promotions at an early age, starting a neighborhood newsletter – written, printed, and delivered monthly door-to-door – at the age of ten. With a degree in journalism and public relations from University of Oregon eventually in-hand, I went on to work as a Customer Service Supervisor, Sales Manager, Senior Events Coordinator, and Director of Marketing.
Looking for flexibility and to capitalize on my years of experience, launching my own marketing and consulting business was the perfect next step. Today, as Crafty Communications, I provide marketing, PR, design, social media, event production and consulting services to small businesses, entrepreneurs and artists in the Portland-metro area. From small to large-scale projects, I offer a broad range of integrated design, writing, strategic planning, production and management services.
I love to make things “pretty”, whether it’s an ad or a major special event. My geeky side loves to crunch numbers, ensuring a successful project and then tracking its ROI. Most of all, I love to see people’s reactions when I’ve created something great that not only meets but exceeds expectations.
I enjoy tailoring each project to a client’s particular needs and interests with creative solutions that are fresh and “outside the box.” My clients appreciate the alternative marketing options with a twist and professional, personalized service they receive from Crafty Communications.

ERIN WISSIG

Currently accepting contracts to assist clients with organization, time management, event production and consulting. My passion is creating dynamic events and workspaces. I offer strategic planning for promotions, event production, establishing and maintaining a functional work space for large and small businesses and organizations.

I once read somewhere that the average person spends forty minutes per day searching for things. YIKES! I also read that for every minute invested in getting organized, an hour is earned. That is an amazing return on your investment, I couldn't be more certain of that!

I have experience working with entrepreneurs, restaurants, non-profit organizations, local and home based businesses. I have have provided functional organization and paper management systems for small and large scale office spaces.

I have also produced a wide variety of events from fundraisers to corporate events and large scale productions. My event experience focuses on filling dynamic roles and multiple priorities including promotions prior to the event, contracting with production services and vendors, layout and design creation, vendor registration and selection, on-site event management, volunteer management and scheduling and much more.

I believe building relationships is a key part of any successful business and truly love staying connected in the community and celebrating and supporting those around me. I've been happily married to my high school sweetheart for the last 7 years and work as an event planner and sales manager at a local Portland business. When I'm not busy planning or organizing you can find me camping, kayaking or enjoying the amazing restaurants, events and wineries in Oregon. I have a degree in Business Administration and Management with a background in small business management, hospitality, non-profits, restaurants & catering.
